The Delhi High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take appropriate steps for securing the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice against a man accused of making allegations against Indian courts while remaining outside the jurisdiction of Indian authorities.

The Court observed that the continued absence of the individual had hampered legal proceedings and warranted the use of international mechanisms available through Interpol. Accordingly, the Court instructed the CBI, which serves as India's designated Interpol liaison agency, to initiate the process for obtaining a Red Notice.

An Interpol Red Notice is a request circulated internationally to law enforcement agencies seeking the location and provisional arrest of a wanted individual pending extradition, surrender, or similar legal action. While a Red Notice is not an arrest warrant by itself, it facilitates international cooperation among member countries.

The direction reflects the judiciary's willingness to employ international legal channels where individuals sought in judicial proceedings remain outside India. The matter highlights the growing importance of cross-border cooperation in ensuring accountability and the effective administration of justice.

The case is expected to proceed further based on the outcome of efforts undertaken by the CBI and relevant international authorities.
