The ICC India Arbitration Group (IAG), a key platform promoting international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in India, has announced the appointment of Sameer Jain as its Chair and Aanchal Basur as its Vice Chair.

The appointments bring together two prominent arbitration practitioners who have been actively involved in India's arbitration landscape and ICC-related initiatives. Sameer Jain, Managing Partner of PSL Advocates & Solicitors, has long been associated with arbitration and dispute resolution matters and has participated in various ICC and arbitration-focused initiatives.

Aanchal Basur, Partner at AB Law, is a recognized arbitration practitioner who has contributed extensively to ICC India Arbitration Group activities, including thought leadership, professional engagement programs, and educational initiatives aimed at promoting arbitration awareness.

The new leadership team is expected to further ICC India's efforts to strengthen institutional arbitration, encourage collaboration among arbitration professionals, and enhance India's standing as a preferred seat for international arbitration.

The ICC India Arbitration Group plays a significant role in fostering dialogue among practitioners, arbitrators, in-house counsel, academics, and policy stakeholders. Through conferences, publications, training programs, and networking initiatives, the Group supports the growth of arbitration and ADR practices in India.

The appointments come at a time when India continues to position itself as an increasingly important arbitration jurisdiction through legal reforms, institutional development, and greater adoption of ADR mechanisms for commercial dispute resolution.

Industry observers expect the new leadership to continue advancing ICC India's objectives of promoting best practices, strengthening international engagement, and supporting the development of a robust arbitration ecosystem in the country.
