Private equity firm Samara Capital has acquired a stake in Associated Road Carriers Limited (ARC) and Calyx Container Terminals Private Limited (Calyx) in a transaction that is expected to create a scaled, integrated B2B logistics platform in India.

ARC is one of India's leading business-to-business road transportation companies, while Calyx operates a licensed container freight station serving the Chennai Port. As part of the proposed transaction, the businesses of ARC and Calyx are expected to be integrated, subject to necessary regulatory approvals.

The transaction represents a strategic move by Samara Capital to strengthen its presence in the logistics and supply chain sector by combining road transportation, container freight, and logistics infrastructure capabilities under a unified platform.

The promoter groups were additionally advised by Solicis Lex on certain aspects of the deal.

According to reports, the transaction is expected to facilitate the creation of a full-service logistics enterprise capable of offering integrated transportation and freight solutions across India. Industry reports indicate that ARC and Calyx together generated substantial revenues in FY26, highlighting the scale and strategic importance of the transaction.

The deal underscores continued investor interest in India's logistics sector, driven by supply chain modernization, infrastructure growth, and increasing demand for integrated logistics solutions.
